Making a difference one child at a time
Juliet is an avid organiser of fund raising parties for children's charities in South Africa and is an ambassador to the Starfish Greathearts Foundation. For the past 5 years, Juliet has organised an annual charity party and has raised over £10,000. Juliet likes the fable of the child and the thousands of starfish washed up on the seashore. When the child starts picking up one starfish at a time and throws them back into the ocean, an old man remarks ‘your work is pointless as there are thousands of starfish dying on the beach - you can't possibly make a difference.’ The child looks at him before tossing another starfish into the sea ‘I made a difference to that one’. Juliet has raised funds for the following charities:
